Abstracting & Coding: Gallbladder

Sandra James-Steen will present the anatomy of the gallbladder and review the rules for both AJCC TNM Stage and SEER Summary Stage. While malignancies for this site are rare, abstracting correctly often presents questions. James-Steen will address these challenges and review recent developments in treatment.

 Learning Objectives:

• Discuss the anatomy of the gallbladder and cystic duct as it relates to staging and treatment.
• Illustrate recent developments in biomarkers, treatments, and/or imaging modalities.
• Better understand abstracting conundrums that may be seen in these rare malignancies.
