Live Webinar 2: Abstracting and Coding: Brain and CNS Cancers (2024)
The webinar presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM ET.
Dr. Quinn Ostrom will provide an overview of her research and discuss genetic factors that were identified as associated with an increased risk of developing brain tumors and the genetic markers that may affect prognosis after a diagnosis. These factors can provide cancer registrars with fresh insights into staging and treatment options for brain and central nervous system cancer patients. She will also discuss potential immunotherapeutic approaches.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss identification of genetic factors associated with brain tumors and the challenges abstracting a brain cancer case.
- Understand the markers that help tailor treatment plans and predict outcomes.
- Review the relationship between immune traits and brain tumor risk and survival.
