Live Webinar 3: Abstracting and Coding: Gynecologic Cancers (2024)

The webinar presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM ET.

Dr. Lee-May Chen will discuss the origins of ovarian cancer, and an area of particular interest for coding and staging being ovary, fallopian tube, and peritoneal cancer. She will address the nuances of coding the site for treatment and genetic testing to ensure correct primary site coding to help make registry reporting more accurate. In some cases of mesonephric and primary peritoneal cancers, Dr. Chen will provide illustrative examples of unusual case presentations and the application of the latest in TNM staging and treatments.

Learning objectives:

  • Describe the fallopian tube origins of ovarian cancer.
  • Review the current ovarian/tubal/peritoneal cancer treatment paradigm.
  • Outline the role of genetic testing in ovarian cancer and review the current staging of ovarian cancer.
