Abstracting & Coding: Therapeutic Advances in HER2-Positive Breast Cancer

Dr. Ayed will discuss the biology and staging of HER2-positive breast cancer and the process for initiating the diagnostic workup and treatment options. He will provide an overview of the landscape of the evolving treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer, including biomarkers and new compounds and combinations that are showing promising results.

Dr. Ayed Ayed is a Medical Oncology Specialist with the Cancer Specialists of North Florida in Jacksonville. He is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine. Dr. Ayed received his MD degree with honors from the University of Jordan and completed his internal medicine training at the University of Florida. He completed fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
