Abstracting Case Scenarios: Breast Cancer

Dr. Sumner will present a breast cancer case scenario and discuss the complex anatomical site and explain what is involved in the clinical and pathological staging workup. He will also provide surgical options and treatment modalities for the diagnosis.

William Sumner, III, MD, FACS Instructor

Dr. William Sumner is a board-certified general surgeon and currently on the medical staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital and a member of North Florida Surgeons. He attended University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Sumner completed residencies in General Surgery at the University of Texas at Houston and a Research Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and post-grad work in Epidemiology at the University of Miami. Dr. Sumner is an active member of the Society of Surgical Oncology and American College of Surgeons.
