Abstracting & Coding: Mastectomies

Sandie James Steen, ODS-C will discuss coding surgical procedures for 2023 breast cases and the effect on coding mastectomies now that the STORE manual separates the breast reconstruction codes and the surgical codes. While the definitions for each surgical procedure remain the same, changes include fields that are no longer available and the fields that replace them. Steen will illustrate changes using case scenarios.
