Abstracting & Coding: Testicular Cancer (2025)

Farzana Salimi will present an overview of abstracting testicular cancer by exploring the anatomy, statistics, and diagnosis of testicular cancer. She will work through several case scenarios to illustrate the nuances of coding grade, SSDI, AJCC staging, and summary stage.

Farzana Salimi joined the staff of NCRA as a Cancer Surveillance and Central Registry Operations Liaison to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Program of Cancer Registries. Salimi earned her Master’s Degree in Public Health/Epidemiology from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She later served as a Data Completeness Manager for the Alabama Department of Public Health, and as an ODS-certified cancer registrar at Registry Partners.
