Coding Bile Duct Cancer (2026)

Tracy Sumler, BA, ODS will illustrate the clinical presentation and diagnostic workup for bile duct cancers. Upon establishing this groundwork, Ms. Sumler will provide a comprehensive review of SEER EOD, staging data items, and current treatment protocols for bile duct cancers. By equipping cancer registrars with this knowledge, they will be better prepared to abstract bile duct cancers.

Improve understanding of the clinical presentation and diagnostic workup for bile duct cancers.
Increase knowledge of collecting Extent of Disease (EOD), SEER Summary Stage, and AJCC staging data.
Enhance understanding of treatment approaches and corresponding treatment coding.
