David Lindsay, MD, PhD Instructor

Dr. David Lindsay is a physician–scientist and entrepreneur at the intersection of AI, clinical research, and medicine. He partners with clinical and operational leaders to integrate AI-enabled workflows into existing hospital processes and informatics ecosystems. Before founding his company, he earned his MD/PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Kelly Merriman, MPH, PhD, ODS-C Instructor

Dr. Kelly Merriman is Director of the Cancer Registry at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she has served for over 30 years. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and a Master’s in Public Health. She has co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and led the development of the 2021 manuscript “Evolution of the Cancer Registrar in the Era of Informatics”, published in JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics. As an adjunct Assistant Professor at the McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics, she teaches graduate courses in public health and informatics. Dr. Merriman chairs the NCRA Informatics Committee and is a former chair of the Texas Cancer Registry Advisory Committee, with a strong commitment to advancing cancer registry science nationally and internationally.
