NCI-SEER Virtual Roundtable: Cancer PathCHART Updates for 2026 Release (Winter 2026)

Dr. Alison Van Dyke (NCI-SEER) and Jim Hofferkamp (NAACCR) will present a virtual roundtable on how Cancer PathCHART standards and CPC*Search benefit cancer registry work. They will review how registrars can use Cancer PathCHART in conjunction with other coding resources, what updates were made for 2024 and 2025 standards, the new standards released for implementation in 2026, and the planned improvements being made to CPC*Search in 2026. Examples will illustrate how Cancer PathCHART site-morphology combination standards work with NAACCR site-type edits. Data quality issues addressed as a result of the development and usage of Cancer PathCHART standards will also be shared.

Alison Van Dyke, MD, PhD, MPA Instructor

Alison Van Dyke, MD, PhD, MPA is a co-founder and Co-Chair of the Cancer PathCHART initiative. She is dual trained in anatomic pathology and cancer epidemiology and is board certified in anatomic pathology by the American Board of Pathology. For the Surveillance Research Program, Dr. Van Dyke leads pathology-related programs.
